Take a guess where today, Saturday took me....
I wouldnt have gone if my daughter had not insisted i should go. But she did and i found myself dragging my feet reluctantly and drove with her to the assembly point.
It was an hour drive thru bumpy and dusty road with 26 others, who like my daughter, their faces definitely
beaming with such contagious smiles; i began to enjoy the trip as well. Finally, the vehicles stopped at the edge of a wide, raging and convoluting river, where the crew waited to brief us on the how to and the safety of our adventure. Now i know why they let us signed a waiver denying responsibility if something happens.
We set out in 5 boats and in each boat we had an expert captain to steer the boat while we did the paddling.
There were 4 recue crew who acted as our photo/videographer. Part of the adventure package is we're
gonna be given a copy in cd of our adventure. So we showed out best big smiles though the rapids scared the
hell out of many of us.
The rapids slowly began to build the excitement within us that no sooner than we were shouting for more and
bigger ones. As the rapids got wilder, some fell into the river; other boats turned upside down and we participated in the rescue. It felt like we were superheroes! We were fortunate that we had an expert captain -not that we were good paddlers!
The whole river adventure is 13 kms and it took almost the whole day till we got back to the city. We
were given our cd and Tshirt and a full head of memories to reminish.
That today IS where Saturday took me ----> WILDWATER RAFTING!
